Biography –Basil B. Robinson

Basil B. Robinson was born in Kingston, Jamaica.  In 1970, he migrated to the United States with his family.  Basil graduated from Evander Childs High School in the Bronx and that same year married his high school sweetheart—the beautiful Roxann Sharpe.

At the age of 12, Basil had an encounter with the Living Christ and knew that he had a call upon his life to preach the gospel.  He lost his biological father at the critical age of 19, and his mother three years after. Despite these apparent set backs he went on to serve his country in the Navy and Air Force for 8 ½ years.  He was honorably discharged in 1988.

During his military career, he had lost touch with his faith and in 1988 as Basil was driving through Utah on I-70, the voice of the Lord spoke clearly to him and reminded him of the call he had at the age of 12.  The hand of God had guided him through his military career and now he was to serve with even greater zeal in the Army of the Lord.

Basil immediately gave his life to the Lord while in Denver, Colorado and was baptized in water and the Holy Ghost.  He is a man of God, full of wisdom and inspired by truth.  He operates in the apostolic gift and God has anointed him with revelation knowledge and understanding of the Word.  Because of his great love for the Word of God, and his deep love and intimate relationship with his Heavenly Father, he will not compromise the truth of the Word.  His divinely inspired insight into the Word of God allows him to teach people by example how to live this Christian life and reveal the true riches that are in Christ Jesus to all nations.  Basil is a true Apostle of the Lamb (Jesus Christ) and not only functions in the office of the Apostle, but flows freely in the ministry of Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher as the Holy Spirit directs.  He is a dynamically powerful minister of the true Gospel of Jesus Christ.  And the scripture that best describes his ministry is 1 John 3:8b “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.”

Basil Robinson is the spiritual son of Archbishop Idem Ikon and has been in ministry since 1992.   In 1996, Basil began his church planting work in New York and Colorado.  Since then he has planted several churches, along with his wife Roxann, both within the United States and many countries abroad.  His ministry, Christ “The Way” Ministries International, is known around the world for clarity, revelation and demonstration in the Holy Spirit.  Basil’s vision is to see a people prepared for the Lord, until the “kingdoms of this world become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ”.

Basil and his wife, Roxann, have three sons, Basil, Jr., Brice and Bakari and will celebrate 35 years of marriage in September 2013.
